Virtual psychotherapy for finding your way back to yourself

What if you didn't have to become someone else to feel better?

You don't have to lose yourself to love, care for, and show up for others. If you're exhausted from putting everyone else first, therapy can help. Together we'll create space for you to rediscover the strength that has been there all along.

You're Not The Problem

Maybe you’ve just been trying to cope with more than anyone can reasonably carry. You might know what you’re struggling with, but not understand why it feels so hard to change...

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Your mind rarely seems to slow down. You overthink, anticipate what could go wrong, or feel constantly "on".

ADHD & Emotional Overload

You're exhausted from trying to keep up with expectations that don't always fit the way your brain works.

People-Pleasing & Perfectionism

Saying no feels uncomfortable. Disappointing someone feels unbearable. Your own needs keep ending up at the bottom of the list.

Sensitivity & Self-Worth

You feel things deeply and notice everything. Sometimes your sensitivity feels like a strength; other times, it leaves you wondering why things affect you so intensely.

Body Image & Disordered Eating

You're tired of thinking about food, weight, appearance, or what your body is "supposed" to look like.

Trauma & Difficult Life Experiences

Your past may still be shaping how you see yourself, your relationships, or the world around you. Wherever you're starting from, you don't have to have it all figured out.

Wherever you’re starting from, you don’t have to have it all figured out.

I don’t believe you need to be fixed.

I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while incorporating tools from approaches such as CBT, DBT, and somatic therapy when they fit your needs.

Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all path to healing, I’ll work alongside you to find what feels meaningful and useful for you.

How I Work

Therapy that meets you where you are

You’ve developed ways of coping for reasons that make sense—and therapy can be a space to understand those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life.

Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, make space for the parts of yourself you may have learned to silence, and reconnect with the values, needs, and strengths that can guide you forward.

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about creating the freedom to become more fully yourself.

What Therapy Can Look Like

Therapy with me won’t look exactly the same for everyone. Some sessions might involve slowing down and making sense of something that has been weighing heavily on you. Others might involve learning a practical tool, challenging an old story about yourself, or exploring what you truly want your life to look like.

Understand Your Patterns

Explore where your thoughts, emotions, and coping strategies come from—and understand them without shame.

Quiet the Inner Critic

Learn to notice self-critical thoughts without automatically believing them and develop a kinder way of relating to yourself.

Set Boundaries Without Losing Yourself

Practice saying no, identifying your needs, and tolerating the discomfort that can come with putting yourself first.

Build a Different Relationship With Your Emotions

Learn to make space for difficult feelings rather than fighting, avoiding, or being overwhelmed by them.

Reconnect With Your Values

Clarify what matters most to you and begin making choices that reflect the life you want—not simply the life others expect of you.

Feel More At Home in Your Body

Explore body image, food, and self-worth from a compassionate, non-shaming perspective.

Develop Tools That Work in Real Life

Build practical strategies for navigating anxiety, overwhelm, ADHD, emotional regulation, and everyday challenges.

Most importantly, you won’t be expected to have everything figured out before you arrive. You can bring the messy, complicated, unfinished version of yourself. That’s where we can begin.

Meet Kaitlyn

A therapist who believes you don’t have to be fixed to be worthy of care.

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn!

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable—especially if you’re someone who is used to being the strong one, taking care of everyone else, or figuring things out on your own.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply human. I want our work together to feel like a place where you can take off the mask, let your guard down, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface—without judgment or pressure to have all the answers.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting people navigating anxiety, ADHD, people-pleasing, perfectionism, high sensitivity, trauma, body image, and disordered eating.

I don’t believe you need to be less emotional, less sensitive, more productive, or more accommodating to finally feel okay.

I believe therapy can help you understand yourself with greater compassion, reconnect with what matters to you, and develop the confidence to live in a way that feels authentic—not simply acceptable to everyone around you.

I’m here to walk alongside you as you figure that out for yourself.

Why Solace & Flame?

Solace is the space to pause, breathe, and feel supported.
It’s the reminder that you don’t always have to be the strong one. You can slow down. You can take up space. You can let yourself be cared for without having to earn it first.

Flame is the spark within you—the part that knows there is more to your story than your struggles. It represents your values, your courage, your capacity for growth, and the strength that can emerge when you begin living more fully as yourself.

Together, Solace & Flame represents the balance I hope to create in therapy: a place where you can find comfort without losing your strength, and where growth doesn’t require you to be at war with yourself.

You don’t have to choose between being gentle with yourself and becoming stronger.

Sometimes, softness is where strength begins.

Virtual Psychotherapy

Receive therapy from the privacy and comfort of your own space. Sessions are offered virtually, so you can access support without adding another commute to your already busy life.

Fees & Sliding Scale

The standard session fee is $170. I believe financial circumstances shouldn't automatically prevent someone from accessing meaningful support, so I reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spaces for clients who need a lower fee. Sliding-scale availability varies, but if cost is a concern, you’re welcome to reach out and ask about current availability.

Therapy that fits your life

Not sure whether you’re covered? I’m happy to provide the information you need to help you check with your provider.

Therapy should feel accessible, comfortable, and realistic within the life you’re already living. My practice is designed to make getting support as simple and flexible as possible.

Individual Therapy

Our sessions are collaborative and personalized around you—your experiences, your goals, and what you need from therapy. We’ll work at a pace that feels supportive while making space for meaningful, sustainable change.

Serving Clients Across Ontario

I provide virtual psychotherapy to clients throughout Ontario, in accordance with the requirements of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Insurance & Receipts

I do not direct bill insurance providers. Payment is made directly to me, and you’ll receive a detailed receipt after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many extended health plans include coverage for psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist, but coverage varies between providers and individual plans. Before beginning therapy, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm that your plan covers services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist and to understand your reimbursement limits.

You’ve spent enough time putting yourself last.
